Kylie is a Senior at Louisville High School and we held her July senior portrait session at Shady Hollow County Club where Kylie has spent much time on the golf course. She brought some fabulous style and Shady Hollow offered some lovely settings, so we were super productive and captured some fabulous portraits.
Despite the heat, Kylie started out in these fabulous flared jeans and vintage t-shirt. She pulls off this look so well! It fits her personality perfectly. These are some of Kylie's favorite portraits from our session.
Kylie has actually been golfing since she was six years old. In addition to being on the golf team at Louisville, Kylie likes hiking with her friends and going out on the lake. Kylie's friends would say that she is shy at first, but actually a little wild once you get to know her. She will do anything for her friends no matter the cost or time involved.
Kylie's second outfit is this light and carefree sundress that worked so well in various settings. I couldn't resist that line of pink flowers and the backlighting is gorgeous.
As Kylie leaves high school, she will be happy to no longer take tests at the high school level, but will miss seeing her friends everyday, and golf. She loves Adam Sandler movies and is a horror film junkie.
Kylie's third outfit was back to something casual. These pinstriped shorts are so cute! More flowers, a field, and a lake seemed fitting. That relaxed pose below is one of my all-time favorites!
Kylie would like to go to college, but isn't exactly sure what she wants to do, yet. She is considering interior design or realty as a profession.
For Kylie's final look, she obviously included her golf uniform. She certainly seems comfortable in this setting. Oh, those gorgeous eyes!!!
Kylie was so fun to work with! She claims that she isn't very photogenic, or at least doesn't like herself in pictures. It was fun to help her see that she actually is extremely photogenic and so beautiful in pictures. Kylie, I wish you all the best and so appreciate that you trusted me with your senior portraits!
What did Kylie have to say about her senior portrait session?
"I absolutely hate getting my picture taken and hate all pictures of myself. But, Laura made it really easy. She was super nice and actually reminded me a lot of my Mimi which made me comfortable. I liked all of the pictures in my tshirt and jeans because it felt more natural and more me because I’m a tshirt and jeans girl. I also really liked the pictures that weren’t too posed. Laura really took my feelings into consideration during the process and made me feel in control of my pictures, poses etc…
My advice to others is to definitely take a few outfit options and don’t be afraid to do poses that feel weird because they turn out great on film."
