Abbey is a senior in the Class of 2024 at Glenoak High School and we held her July senior portrait session at the beautiful Gervasi Vineyard. Meeting Abbey and her parents ensured me that it was going to be a fabulous session, and seeing her outfits only made me more certain. Her demeanor is so calm and the laughs came easily which allowed me to ease us right into the session.
Abbey's first outfit is this feminine and flowing blue dress that worked in soooo many settings. There was no "warm up" needed for Abbey. We started capturing fabulous images from the start. We incorporated movement and still created one gorgeous portrait after another.
Abbey's friends would describe her as funny, hard-working, determined, and smart. Her favorite food is pizza and would most likely eat it for every meal if she could. She is also an avid country music fan. She even got to see Morgan Wallen in August! Lucky girl!!!
Family is important to Abbey and one of the special places they visit is Salt Fork State Park. She loves hiking, swimming, and doing fun things outdoors. She describes her home as a "Buckeyes household" and enjoys screaming at the TV with her family every Saturday at game time.
Since this was her "senior portrait" session, we incorporated the graduation cap and Glenoak sash. Abbey has plans for after graduation. She is very passionate about animals and is excited to pursue the path to becoming a veterinarian. Her plan is to attend the University of Findlay where she will be in the pre-vet program. She can't wait to experience college and to push herself academically.
Abbey's next outfit is this classic black tank with jeans. The simplicity of this combo allowed us to truly feature Abbey and that is exactly what we did.
Abbey has been involved in both track and cross country at Glenoak. We honored those pursuits by incorporating her letterman's jacket in some portraits. Cross country is the thing that she will miss most after leaving high school. The feeling of doing one of the hardest sports with all of her friends is something that she will never get to do again. She knows that she will carry those memories forever.
Abbey really admires her Dad because he is an extremely hard worker and he never complains about work...he just does it. He always has a positive attitude and makes her laugh every single day. It makes her happy to know that she is just like him and also inherited his math skills.
I remember that we were really humming along in Abbey's portrait session as we just kept creating more and more amazing portraits as we moved from one setting to another. The area around the Still House was our last segment and these are among my favorites. She certainly finished as impressively as she started.
Working with Abbey and enjoying the fun dynamic with her parents made for such an enjoyable session. It only seemed right to finish with a portrait including the three of them.
Abbey, you impressed me in every way and it has been a pleasure to create your senior portraits. I am excited for your next adventure at Findlay and wish you all the best. You certainly have what it takes to follow your dreams and let them evolve into a beautiful future.
What did Abbey have to say about her senior portrait session?
"We chose Laura Esposito Photography because my Mom saw her work on Facebook and told me and I immediately loved what I saw so we decided to book an appointment! I loved how comfortable Laura made me feel and she was always complimenting me which made me feel good about my portraits. Which came out BEAUTIFUL by the way, I couldn't have asked for a better experience truly. I loved the classy images from the Still House at Gervasi. Paired with my black top and jeans it created a really cool look. I also enjoyed the pictures with the greenery and flowers, it made my portraits beautiful. My advice to other seniors is to just be yourself and relax when you are taking your photos. Laura will make sure they look perfect and she allows you to make any changes you would like. She really wants you to enjoy your photos so definitely trust her process. Also bring your parents because it makes the experience super fun!"
