Layla’s Late October Senior Portrait Session: Canton South High School, Class of 2025
Layla is a senior in the Class of 2025 at Canton South High School, and she lights up every room she enters with her kind and unique personality. She’s an accomplished athlete, balancing both cheerleading and volleyball while maintaining a passion for cooking and baking in her spare time. Her friends describe her as honest, unique, and kind—qualities that shine through in every interaction.
Beyond her talents and hobbies, Layla has a deep admiration for her mother, who inspires her with strength, independence, and success as a single parent. This admiration fuels Layla’s own dreams for the future, which include attending the University of Akron to embark on the next chapter of her journey. She’s looking forward to college life, where she can meet new people, explore new places, and continue to grow into the remarkable young woman she’s becoming.
Layla’s love for romance and mystery novels, her appreciation for both R&B and country music, and her joy in watching rom-coms reveal her as someone with a diverse range of interests and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. Her fondest memories of high school include afternoons at volleyball practice with her teammates—moments that capture the camaraderie and dedication she’s brought to her high school experience.
Layla's Senior Portrait Session
Layla had a stunning senior portrait session in late October. Although the weather required us to reschedule her original session date, it ended up being well worth the wait.
Starting at Quail Hollow Park
We began Layla’s session at Quail Hollow Park in Hartville, where her first outfit set the perfect tone. She wore distressed jeans paired with a feminine floral halter top, which complemented the gorgeous fall colors of the field and the vibrant blanket of golden, orange, and red leaves.
For her second look, Layla embraced a flowy boho vibe with a white skirt and a soft buttery yellow tube top. To enhance this dreamy outfit, she brought along a lovely bouquet of flowers that added a whimsical touch. These portraits were stunning near the stone wall and garden arbor, showcasing the timeless beauty of the location.
Moving to Wingfoot Lake State Park
Next, we traveled to Wingfoot Lake State Park in Suffield to take advantage of the setting sun and its warm backlighting over the lake. Layla stayed in her boho outfit, and the windy weather worked to our advantage by adding movement to her skirt, creating magical portraits.
Layla then switched into her cheer uniform for a fun set of portraits inland to avoid the wind. These photos captured her spirit and enthusiasm as a cheerleader.
To wrap up the session, Layla changed into her volleyball uniform, and we returned to the lake’s edge. The dramatic sunset provided a breathtaking backdrop for her volleyball-themed portraits, and I loved the powerful poses we captured with the net they brought along.
Iconic Letterman’s Jacket
We ended the session with Layla donning her letterman’s jacket, a classic symbol of her high school achievements. These portraits are not only timeless but also a perfect representation of her journey at Canton South High School.
