I am excited to share the story of Kesslie, a Class of 2025 senior at Minerva High School who takes her classes at R.G. Drage Career Center. Her senior portrait session in August 2024 was one to remember, filled with sunshine, vibrant flowers, and lots of personality. We chose two stunning locations: Zoar Historic Village and the sunflower field at Little Sandy Gardens in Malvern. These spots were perfect backdrops to highlight Kesslie’s carefree and flower-loving spirit.
At Kesslie’s pre-session consultation, I quickly picked up on her desire for carefree-looking portraits and her love for flowers. After discussing several options, we decided that Zoar Historic Village would provide the variety and charm she was looking for. This decision truly paid off, as the village offered endless inspiration and complemented Kesslie’s style.
Although her session had to be rescheduled due to rain, the wait was well worth it. We were greeted by a perfect August day, with the sun shining brightly and the flowers in full bloom.
We began the session at the iconic Iron Bridge in Zoar. Kesslie’s outfit was absolutely perfect for this spot—a red print sundress paired with a classic jean jacket and cowboy boots. The combination of full-length action shots and close-ups captured her carefree vibe beautifully.
Our next portraits were taken along the quaint brick sidewalk, featuring a historical building with sandstone and black ironwork. Kesslie’s stylish black top and distressed jeans created a chic yet timeless look, blending perfectly with the vintage setting.
The steps in front of a colorful door provided the backdrop for the next set of portraits. Her casual jean shorts and gray Converse added a touch of personality that fit the scene perfectly. In this same outfit, we ventured into Zoar’s picturesque gardens, where layers of color and soft sunlight created a magical atmosphere for her photos.
To wrap up the session, we made a short drive to the sunflower field at Little Sandy Gardens in Malvern. This vibrant field was a dream come true for Kesslie, whose bright red top provided a stunning contrast against the lush greens and golden hues of the sunflowers. The results were absolutely breathtaking.
Kesslie’s laid-back and easy-going nature made her a joy to work with. Here are a few fun facts about her:
She loves playing "Name That Tune."
She recently went on a 19-hour road trip to North Carolina and back with her dad, driving almost the entire way. Road trips are her favorite!
Her friends describe her as relaxed and approachable.
Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee is her go-to drink.
She enjoys listening to music by Koe Wetzel and Treaty Oak Revival.
Kesslie looks up to her parents as role models for what a great relationship should be.
After graduation, she plans to attend Stark State College to pursue a degree as a physical therapist assistant.
“I chose Laura Esposito Photography because I saw Laura’s photos and fell in love with them. I felt very comfortable with Laura. She was very sweet and she was able to capture many different backgrounds in a decent time. I would advise other seniors to wear clothes that pop. Just relax and enjoy your session. I highly recommend Laura! She made me feel very relaxed.” -Kesslie
Thank you, Kesslie, for allowing me to capture such a special moment in your life. Your session was as vibrant and unforgettable as you are!
