Senior year is a time of celebration, reflection, and excitement for the future. Capturing this milestone through professional senior portraits is more than just taking pictures—it is about showcasing personality, style, and what makes each senior unique. That is exactly what we accomplished with Lleyton, a Class of 2025 senior at Jackson High School, who had not one but two incredible portrait sessions.
Lleyton’s senior portrait experience spanned late spring to mid-fall, allowing us to capture different settings, outfits, and moods that truly reflected his personality and passions. If you are considering a senior portrait session, his story is a great example of how multiple sessions can enhance your photo collection.
We kicked off Lleyton’s first session in late May at the University of Mount Union, a campus rich with picturesque backdrops. We started near the pond, where Lleyton sported a relaxed, casual look in a v-neck shirt and khaki shorts. From there, we explored the library and Chapman Hall, where his button-down shirt and jeans gave off a polished yet approachable vibe.
For a fresh, dynamic look, Lleyton switched to a sporty green Adidas hoodie, adding variety to his session.
After capturing a range of portraits on campus, we headed to Glamorgan Castle. This historic site was the perfect setting for Lleyton’s suit portraits, adding a classic, timeless touch to his collection. The castle’s grand architecture and lush surroundings created striking and elegant images.
A few months later, in mid-October, we reunited for Lleyton’s fall session, starting at Gervasi Vineyard. Known for its stunning autumn scenery, this location set a warm and inviting tone for his portraits. His flannel, vest, and jeans complemented the vibrant fall colors beautifully. The vineyard’s wooden doors, archways, and pavilion provided a variety of artistic backdrops.
For a more refined look, Lleyton changed into a sharp suit, and we moved to the Still House area, where sleek architecture and rich tones added a modern edge to his portraits.
Then came the most exciting part of Lleyton’s senior portrait experience—BLU Jazz+ in Akron. As a passionate performer, this location was the perfect fit. The intimate, metropolitan jazz club atmosphere set the stage for unique portraits that captured his love for music. With a microphone in hand and creative lighting techniques, we crafted one-of-a-kind images filled with artistic energy.
For these jazz club portraits, Lleyton transitioned from his blue suit into a black tuxedo—an absolutely stunning look that elevated the session’s dramatic feel. To finish, he opted for a more casual style, wearing his Daniel Pemberton t-shirt in front of the jazz music wall, incorporating sheet music into the scene to further tell his story.
Beyond his stunning senior portraits, Lleyton is an accomplished and well-rounded student. He is actively involved in Jacks-N-Jills Show Choir, Men’s Chorus, Musicals, National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and Tri-M Music Honor Society. His love for music is evident in both his extracurriculars and his senior portraits.
When he is not performing, Lleyton enjoys listening to music and watching YouTube. His recent playlist includes Boyz II Men, and he follows The Magnus Archives, Smosh, and Hivemind on YouTube.
Described by his friends as kind, respectful, intelligent, and funny, Lleyton also has a love for film, with Across the Spider-Verse as his favorite movie. His go-to meal? A classic—spaghetti and meatballs.
When asked about those he admires most, Lleyton spoke highly of his mom and dad for their kindness, respectfulness, intelligence, and the way they find happiness without the need to feel superior to others.
Lleyton plans to pursue Music Education in college, a path that aligns perfectly with his passions and talents.
Lleyton’s senior portraits are not just images; they tell his story. He shared his experience working with me:
"We chose Laura Esposito Photography because we liked her work. I liked how much freedom and attention I was given. She had plans for all of her shoots, but I was able to put ideas out there, and she would listen and execute my ideas very nicely if I brought anything up. She collaborated with me, and I appreciated that. I loved the shoot that we did at the jazz club. I think that it brought out a whole new energy in the photos. I would advise other seniors to be willing and excited to say what YOU would like from your photos and do whatever will make YOU specifically the happiest."
I am truly grateful to Lleyton and his family for trusting me with his senior portraits. It was an absolute pleasure working with such a dynamic and talented young man. His passion for music, kindness, and drive to succeed were evident in every aspect of his sessions. His willingness to collaborate and bring his own ideas to the table made this experience even more special. I have no doubt that he has a bright future ahead, and I am honored to have been part of this important milestone.
Lleyton’s experience highlights the magic of senior portraits—celebrating your interests, style, and individuality in a way that you will cherish for years to come.
