Senior year is a time of celebration, reflection, and looking ahead to the future. Emmy, a senior in the Class of 2025 at Louisville High School, chose to commemorate this special time with a portrait session at Quail Hollow Park in Hartville, Ohio. With the beauty of fall in full display, her session perfectly captured her personality and style.
We were fortunate to have a lovely sunny day for Emmy’s session, which allowed us to create the beautiful backlit portraits we had envisioned. She arrived in a casual fall look—distressed jeans paired with a red and white flannel over a black tank top. The contrast between her outfit and the deep gold of the tall grasses in the field made for stunning portraits. We used a mix of backlighting and direct full sun to achieve a variety of styles and moods.
Next, we moved to a section of the park where the trees had shed their leaves, creating a colorful autumn blanket. Emmy sat among the leaves, and we captured a series of portraits that highlighted the vibrant colors of fall.
For her second outfit, which we had planned during her pre-session consultation, Emmy wore a black long-sleeved bodysuit paired with a bright fuchsia skirt and black heels. The arbor area of the garden, along with the stone structures, provided elegant backdrops, while the pink leaves still clinging to nearby bushes added a complementary pop of color.
A simple outfit change came next—Emmy swapped her skirt and heels for dark wash jeans and HEYDUDES. We found a gravel drive lined with golden trees, creating a warm and contrasty scene that beautifully framed her portraits.
To incorporate an important part of her high school story, Emmy added her letterman’s jacket, representing her years at Louisville High School. As a dedicated lacrosse player, she also brought her lacrosse stick, which made for some dynamic and personalized portraits.
For a final cozy and moody look, we wrapped Emmy in her leopard print blanket as the evening sky darkened behind her. With the dropping temperatures, the blanket not only made for a stylish addition but also provided some much-needed warmth.
Emmy’s full name is Emily, but she prefers to go by Emmy. She enjoys building with Legos and playing lacrosse, and her friends describe her as kind, funny, and helpful.

She looks up to her dad because of his wisdom and guidance. As she prepares to graduate, Emmy knows she will miss having lunch with her friend group, but she is excited about the next chapter—attending Malone University to study nursing. Her goal is to become an orthopedic pediatric nurse, where she will bring her kindness and dedication to helping others.
When asked about her experience, Emmy shared:
“I chose Laura Esposito Photography due to my mom’s wedding. The pictures were amazing and captured memorable moments. I liked my session for all the possibilities with poses due to scenery. My favorite portraits involved sitting in the leaves. My advice to other seniors is to have fun and be creative with Laura.”
It was an absolute pleasure capturing Emmy’s senior portraits and getting to know her during this special time in her life. A big thank you to Emmy and her family for trusting me with these memories. I wish her all the best as she steps into her bright future!
