It has been an absolute pleasure working with Reagan, a senior at Louisville High School and one of my Class of 2025 Senior Ambassadors. Throughout the past year, we have had the opportunity to collaborate on multiple portrait sessions, each one highlighting a different side of Reagan’s personality, interests, and style. From the studio to meaningful locations around her hometown, every session reflected her vibrant spirit and unique story.
Reagan’s senior portrait journey began in the studio, where we captured a variety of looks that showcased her fun and stylish personality.
She started in a cheerful pink sweater set, paired with jeans and Converse sneakers, against a white seamless backdrop with a reflective floor. The bright and clean setup emphasized her upbeat energy and natural confidence.
For her second outfit, Reagan wore a colorful floral dress with playful ruffles that moved beautifully. We encouraged motion in these portraits, allowing the dress to shine as she twirled and laughed, resulting in lively and dynamic images.
Shifting to a more sophisticated look, Reagan stunned in a sleek black dress set against a black and gray backdrop. To add a fun pop of color, she paired this elegant outfit with bold bright pink heels. We also played with colored lighting to transform the background into a stunning pinkish-purple hue, creating a striking effect that perfectly suited Reagan’s fashionable style.
Our second session together was a Louisville Feature Session, where we explored local spots that held significance for Reagan.
We began at the Louisville Public Library, an ideal setting to highlight her love of literature. She even incorporated some of her favorite book series into the portraits, making them uniquely hers. For this portion of the session, Reagan wore a bright yellow sundress with happy pink flowers, radiating warmth and joy.
Next, we visited Mott’s Greenhouse, a vibrant location bursting with rich, colorful flowers. Reagan stood out beautifully in a crisp white top and jean shorts, blending effortlessly with the lush surroundings. Her sister, Peyton, even joined in for a few portraits, making the session even more special. Despite the rainy and chilly weather that day, Reagan’s radiant smile made every image feel warm and inviting.
For Reagan’s regular summer session, we started at her family home, where the natural beauty of their property provided stunning backdrops, including a serene pond.
She first wore a lovely red sundress, which contrasted beautifully with the greenery and golden summer light. We created timeless portraits under the trees, near the pond, and even with her beloved cat, Oreo, adding a personal touch to her session.
To commemorate her high school accomplishments, Reagan donned her letterman’s jacket for some portraits. The pond made for a picturesque backdrop as she proudly displayed the jacket that represents her dedication to academics and athletics.
Given how significant soccer has been in Reagan’s life, we incorporated her jersey, cleats, and soccer ball into a series of fun and dynamic portraits. As a well-rounded student with a range of talents, we also highlighted her involvement in basketball and concert band, creatively incorporating these aspects into her session.
Next, we focused on Reagan’s love for literature once again. At the dock by the pond, she posed with her beautifully ornate copy of Little Women, wearing a delicate white dress and stylish floral heels. These portraits captured a timeless and elegant side of Reagan’s personality.
We then traveled to downtown Canton, beginning at the Saxton McKinley House. The charming courtyard provided an elegant setting for her portraits.
For a trendy and sophisticated look, Reagan changed into a chic black jumpsuit with her signature bright pink heels. We continued to explore the area, utilizing the First Ladies Library as a backdrop. As evening fell and the streetlights illuminated, we captured some breathtaking portraits with a warm, cinematic feel.
To wrap up our night, Reagan switched into a casual Beatles t-shirt for some relaxed and stylish shots in the parking garage. This final look reflected her love for music and her easygoing nature, bringing her senior portrait experience to a perfect close.
Reagan is an exceptional young woman, involved in soccer, basketball, and playing the oboe in the concert band. She also holds leadership roles as Executive Student Council President and National Honor Society President.
Her friends describe her as fun, kind, and a wonderful person to be around.

Reagan deeply admires her grandfather, who was always generous and eager to help others. She hopes to embody his kindness in her own life.
Looking ahead, Reagan plans to attend Seton Hill University, where she will major in education and continue playing soccer. Her goal is to become a history teacher, shaping the minds of future generations.
Reflecting on her time as a senior ambassador and her portrait sessions, Reagan shared:
“I was a part of her ambassador program and I loved how welcoming she was and how wonderful of a photographer she is. Every picture looked amazing and it was an unforgettable experience. Laura made it very fun, it wasn’t stressful and we had a great time. I loved my red dress and taking pictures in Canton. My advice to other seniors is to just have fun with your poses and outfits, do things that make you you.”
Reagan, thank you for allowing me to be part of your senior year journey. Your kindness, enthusiasm, and radiant personality made every session a joy. I am so grateful to you and your family for trusting me with these special memories. I cannot wait to see all that you accomplish in the future!
