Every senior deserves to feel confident, celebrated, and truly seen during their senior year—and that's exactly what happened when Lauren stepped in front of the camera for her Class of 2026 senior portraits.

A Legacy of Trust: When One Sister Recommends Another Session
Lauren came to me through the best kind of referral—a personal recommendation from a fellow photographer friend Heidi Campany. But there was already a connection: I'd previously worked with Lauren's older sister for her college graduation session at Kent State. When Lauren's turn came for senior portraits, it felt like reuniting with family.
As the third of four children and the youngest daughter, Lauren knows the value of relationships and trust. She chose Laura Esposito Photography because she wanted to work with someone who came highly recommended, someone who could help her capture this pivotal moment in her life.

The Challenge: Capturing All Sides of Lauren's Personality
Lauren isn't just one thing—she's multifaceted, dynamic, and beautifully complex. She's funny and genuine with her friends. She's ambitious and driven through her involvement in business club, sports, and fashion. She has a sophisticated side that appreciates the finer things (hello, Italian food and sushi!), and a fun, vibrant side that comes alive in her love for volleyball, summer days, and anything Lana Del Rey.
The question was: how do you capture all of that in one senior portrait session?
During our pre-session Zoom consultation, we talked through what Lauren envisioned for her portraits. She wanted variety. She wanted to feel like herself. She wanted images that showed both her playful energy and her polished, sophisticated presence.

The Solution: Two Stunning Ohio Locations on a November Day
Quail Hollow Park Senior Portraits in Hartville, Ohio
Even though November brought chilly temperatures, Lauren was ready to embrace the session. We started at Quail Hollow Park in Hartville, where fall was putting on its final show. This location offered us exactly the variety Lauren was looking for:
The open fall field provided expansive, dreamy backdrops with warm autumn tones
The cedar trees gave us lovely light filtering through branches and rich, natural texture
The white gazebo added an elegant, timeless element perfect for Lauren's sophisticated side
Tree-lined paths created depth and movement in her portraits

Wingfoot Lake State Park Senior Portraits in Mogadore, Ohio
We finished Lauren's session at Wingfoot Lake State Park in Mogadore, where the water landscape backgrounds added a serene, reflective quality to her portraits. The lake setting perfectly complemented her favorite season (summer) and brought a sense of calm beauty to round out the session.

The Experience: From Nervous to Confident
Walking into a senior portrait session can feel intimidating. You're being photographed for hours. You're supposed to look natural. You're trying to capture who you are at seventeen or eighteen in a way that you'll treasure for decades.
But here's what Lauren discovered: when you work with a photographer who prioritizes making you feel comfortable and confident, everything changes.
Lauren chose outfits that made her feel her best—pieces that reflected her love for stores like Free People and her personal style sense developed through her interest in fashion. And throughout those few hours together, something shifted.
"Laura makes you feel comfortable and confident," Lauren shared. "We had a fun few hours."
That's the transformation I aim for in every session—moving from any nervousness to genuine confidence, from feeling self-conscious to feeling celebrated.

The Reveal: Excited and Pleased
The reveal session is always special—it's the moment when seniors get to see themselves through a new lens. For Lauren, who looks up to her sisters Cameron and Taylor for their ability to follow their passions and care for others, seeing her own strength and personality captured in these portraits was powerful.
When asked how she felt during her reveal session, Lauren's response was simple and beautiful: "Excited and pleased."
Those portraits now represent more than just senior pictures. They're a reminder of who Lauren was at this moment—a young woman about to graduate from Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School in Chardon, Ohio, ready to pursue business management in college, excited to meet new friends and experience everything college has to offer.

What Lauren Will Remember
As graduation approaches, Lauren knows she'll miss her friends most from high school. But she's also looking toward the future with genuine excitement—new friendships, new experiences, and new opportunities to follow her passions just like her sisters inspired her to do.
And now she has portraits that capture this in-between moment perfectly: grounded in who she's been, confident in who she's becoming.

Lauren's Advice for Future Seniors
When asked what advice she'd give to other seniors preparing for their portrait sessions, Lauren's wisdom was simple but powerful:
"Choose outfits that you will feel the best in."
It's not about trends or what looks good on someone else. It's about what makes YOU feel confident, comfortable, and authentically yourself. Whether that's something from your favorite store, clothes in your favorite color (pink, in Lauren's case), or outfits that reflect your personal style—wear what makes you feel like the best version of you.
